Dreaming of a sandy christmas

Hello everybody

I hope all my readers have had a really nice christmas. We have had a great time with loads of nice people and plenty of food.

I just thought I would put a few pictures up of what we have been doing these last few days.

Cousin Carl has been chained to the barbeque :) making some excellent food.

We had a nice christmas- tree. And on the left you can see Mr. and Mrs. Clause

On christmas day we went to the beach. Was really nice.

I like taking pictures of Corona bottles in the sun. So I did that. And then I drank a few of them...

Then I noticed that the dog was getting cold so I decided to wrap her up in two big towels. She really seemed to enjoy it.

Then she got upset but we huged it out

The father has arrived

My dad is here :) Yay!

Haha I love this picture, it's from my graduation this summer. I am sopposed to be the one looking really drunk no?!

Tomorrow is christmas here in Australia. So today is just going to have to be another hard day on the beach for me ;)

Merry christmas all you swedes out there!

Loving attack!

I couldn't ever love you more

(Och det ar verkligen sant, for jag hatar dubbelhakan pa den har bilden men jag lagger upp den i alla fall, sa mycket betyder er vanskap)

I would love to be ..

One of those people who manage to update their blogs like at least twice a day. I really hate it when people I want to read about take ages to update their blogs (Olivia, Dounya). But it's not allways easy to know what to write about. The secret of bloging is to never be repetetive and to try to not be to personal (unless you are Britney, cause everyone wants to know what her personal life is about).

Allso having a blog is a lot about taking for granted that other people are actually interested in your life. Wich I find hard sometimes. I would not start a blog entierley about myself when living back home for example. The main reason why I have this blog is to write and to show my readers pictures of my trips. Allso to write about cultural differences I discover here etc.

Yesterday we went christmas- tree hunting. It was actually quite exciting. We went up to this farm place in The hills and we got to walk round and choose between loads of different trees and then when we found one that we wanted we told a man about it and he went and chopped it down for us. A real sort of a christmasy feeling to it, despite the heat and the fact that all three of us were constantly fretting about snakes (well, at least I was).

So today, it's freaky hot as usual. I am really not very good with the heat. Some people really love it of course, but I just get really slow and a bit irritated from it. Mind you I am getting used to it. It's all about knowing your limits, especially in the middle of the day. Like the spanish, who just go to bed when the sun is at it's hottest. God, I am rambling on like an old woman here. Talk about a one way conversation. I think todays main object is killing time.

Po :)

So for some of you readers (Kjell) there seemed to be some confusion as to where I was going in January.
I am actually going back to Melbourne because I have met this amazing guy over there. His name is Po and he used to hit me at school when we were young, but now he doesn't hit me anymore. He just makes me laugh so bad and when I see him or talk to him I feel really good inside :)

I like him so much and; I am pretty sure that he likes me too :)

Aren't I the lucky girl?

ha.

:)

My lovely friend Joy, from China, now calls me the "Little happy woman".

For the first time ..

For the first time since I got to Australia, I am actually going back somewhere that I have allready been to. It feels a little bit strange, but very, very good :)

It's funny, because I am usually a organsied and structured person. I like to plan ahead. But ever since I got here I have become so spontaneous and I really like it. I like myself just a little bit more every day.

So, christmas is coming up real soon. And I can't even begin to tell you how weird it is to see the christmas decorations and listen to the carolsingers in 40+ degrees c. It is, in no way, shape or form christmas in my head right now. I am soo unprepared for this.

I am actually looking forward very much to see my father. I was telling him just last night over the phone that I have been away for more than four months now and he just kept replying "Oh really? Feels like yesterday you left to me". Thanks for the support old chum.

But I think christmas is going to be really nice this year :) And I am really looking forward to celebrating the new year. Not (only) because I want to get hammered in Frans garden but because I need a new year, a chance to start over again.

So what is happening in 2010?

I will be leaving the west side of Australia. Wich means I will be leaving Fran. I don't know how I will manage without her, she is my australian rock. But I need to see sydney.

So I will be leaving WA (western australia) at the beginning of january. I will be going back to Melbourne for a while. And then in February my two friends from sweden are actually coming over to see me; in Sydney!! I am really happy about that :)

So, needless to say, I will be in Sydney in february with my two swedish friends for a month. After that, I really need to find some work if I want to stay in Australia.

So, needless to say, I think life is awesome right now :)

                                                                      Me in Broome

Pic's of Melbourne :)

Ladies and Gent's; this is Melbourne

       Spot the penguin!

Melbourne and so on

So the thing is right. I don't really feel like writing to much about Melbourne. Not because it wasn't really great, just because it feels like I would like to keep a lot of it to myself. Actually.

But I did have a great time.

I really did :)

(this does not mean you will never see pictures of melbourne, it just means I want to keep it all to myself for a little while longer)

Anyways, my dear cousin Carl has now arrived on red dirt soil. He made us some drinks last night, he is after all a bartender, and aunty got a little bit tipsy. That was wicked.

Tomorrow I have been invited to Perth for dinner. Looking forward to that.

Here are some pictures from november, when my swiss friend and I went on a hike:

We walked along an old train- track

There were some beautiful waterfalls.

And some splendid lakes

There was a long dark tunnel that really made us dizzy.

And finally there was a bar with loads of kangaroos :)

Here goes..

I think this surprise thing might have got a little bit out of hand. There is really only one person who reads this blog who is going to think that this is the least bit exciting, really.

Anyway Fifi, here you go:

Kanner du igen den har lilla rackarn?! :) Han rockar <3

Right now, I am in Melbourne. I had to keep this a secret because I didn't want Fifi to work out that I would be seeing Bo when I was over here. Bo is a friend from school.

Melbourne is awesome. The biggest city I have been to down under so far. I am glad that Bo is here because without him I would have never found my way back to my hostel after my first day here. I mean; I used to get lost in Perth, wich really is pathetic because Perth is so small compared to Melbourne.

Allrighty, more pic's of melbourne will be coming up on monday. It's to complicated to be sitting here at an internet cafe uploading more than one picture.

Be patient with me ..

This big surprise I am planning, it's really going to happen soon. Not today, probably not tomorrow, but it really is going to happen some day this week.
